JAMMU & KASHMIR Gunfight rages in Shopian orchards | KNO REPRESENTATION PHOTO Published 331 weeks ago on April 06, 2019 By KashmirNewsObserver Shopian, April 06 (KNO) : Gunfight raged between militants and government forces in Orchards of Pargochi area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday afternoon Reports reaching to KNO that a joint team of army’s 44 RR and SOG Shopian cordoned off the vast orchard area near Pargochi and Losedanew areas after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area. As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter. A senior Police official confirmed that some exchange of firing has taken place between militants and government forces in the area.
